Trunk lock and key
The only woodworking of significance in this project was to cut the cavity for the lock mechanism. The poplar walls are 5/8 inch thick and 1/2 inch had to be removed. Sharp chisel to get started and then a Stanley router plane all the way. The corner nails are bent over on the inside with their tips buried.
