Unknown Sharpening Stone
7x2x1 inch stone picked up at an estate sale. Thought it was a Crystolon (it was pretty dirty) but when I cleaned it up I saw by the striations in the stone it is natural. Seems fairly soft but fine, much like a Queer Creek. But here it is completely cleaned up and sitting on a new Queer Creek and it is clear it in not that. Also interesting how it was cut from the quarry perpendicular to the "layers". Kinda quarter sawn...
Does anybody know what kind of stone this is?
