axforging.jpgA Blacksmith's Apprentice168 viewsAlexander with Michael at Michael's portable "Know Nothing" forge. He was thrilled to be able to try "blacksmithing"...Thanks, Michael! In this picture also stands Greg "Thor" Isola, wondering why Alexander's not using Tom Holloway's 38 oz. hammer.madwing

IMG_3249.jpgSargent "Hercules" Plane134 viewsNo markings on casting other than "Made In USA". The number 5272 is stamped on the bottom side of the frog. No markings on the lever cap. Measures 9-1/2" L by 2-1/8" W with a 1-7/8" wide blade. Tote is cracked but otherwise this takes a pretty good shaving. Does this plane have a model number or style by which to call it? Blade is stamped "Sargent and Co.", "Hercules".jjl134
