plant%20stand%20008.jpgRed maple plant stand with crotch cherry top20 viewsHere's a plant stand I designed and built for my Mother using red maple and cherry from our property. The frame was designed so that the legs are diagonal to the corners of the top which is attached on the sides via curved blocks. This gives the top the appearance of floating over the legs.llesniak

The tone woods were purchased from a dealer and the plan is from a luthiery book. He's using a combination of hand and power tools as he does not have a home shop (yet!) but does have access to the high school wood shop.llesniak
