anvilstand.jpgMy anvil stand237 views This anvil stand is made out of 4 pieces of 2x4 and a few scraps of plywood. It was dead cheap to make, and it works fabulously. Dead stable. The 'side' pieces of plywood were left long so they 'hug' the bottom of the anvil and hold it in place. It hasn't rocked yet no matter how hard I pound on it. The anvil is a Peter Wright, and just over a hundredweight, so it's not going to move without a bit of persuasion, anyway. The anvil sits on the ends of the pieces of 2x4 which form the feet.Metalworker Mike
