Butterfly_hinges_nailed_on_exterior.JPGButterfly hinges nailed on exterior220 viewsI bent the wings of the butterfly hinges to conform to the 6 inch radius of the trunk body. Marked and drilled 3/32 inch pilot holes for the rosehead nails using a recently restored Millers Falls No. 5 drill. The round trunk body is 9/16th inch thick, the lock box mortise is 7/16th inch deep. The lock plate is curved to fit the 6 inch radius of the round trunk body.Sgt42RHR
