glazing_on_top_door.jpg
glazing_on_top_door.jpgMuntins82 viewsThere are four rows and three columns of lights. A little dark oil-based glaze was applied at the fillets and then wiped away with a mineral spirits soaked rag, the detail of the moulding really jumps out with the shadow lines.Sgt42RHR

Millers_Falls_no__2-01_Taylor_backsaw.jpgMillers Falls no. 2-01 and Taylor Backsaw65 viewsA great Millers Falls Egg Beater in a size that I didn't already own, A little clean up and lube and she'll be working great. A project Taylor backsaw which has been de-rusted. Teeth to be jointed, filed and sharpened. I will keep the cross-cut filing, clean up the handle and blue the back. This will make a nice carcass sawBrentpmed

Big_and_little_mitre_boxes.jpg
Big_and_little_mitre_boxes.jpgLittle brother and big brother126 viewsA 12 inch Millers Falls mitrebox and a big Stanley mitrebox. Both with Disston saws each with 1896-1917 PHILADA medallions. Both saws came with their respective mitreboxes. Neither have been sharpened but both cut quickly and smoothly. I use both of these a lot. The little Millers Falls is just perfect for moulding and small bits.Sgt42RHR
big_and_little_Disston_mitre_box_saws.jpg
big_and_little_Disston_mitre_box_saws.jpgDisston Mitrebox saws108 viewsBoth Disstons, both with 1896-1917 PHILADA medallions. One saw has a 16 inch blade and the other a 28 inch blade. Both cut smoothly and have not been sharpened by me. Both saws were present with their respective mitreboxes.Sgt42RHR

MF_mitre_box_and_saw~0.jpgMillers-Falls #16 1/2 mitre box and Disston saw134 viewsThe mitrebox is completely unmarked but appears to be identical to the Millers Falls #16 1/2 12" model. The saw with with the box when I got it and is a Disston with a 16 inch blade and a 1896-1917 PHILADA medallion. I've not sharpened the saw but it cuts smoothly so that little clean up is required.Sgt42RHR
big_and_little_Disston_mitre_box_saw_handles.jpg
big_and_little_Disston_mitre_box_saw_handles.jpgMitre box saw handles91 viewsThe smaller of the two is a Disston 16 inch saw blade with a 1896-1917 PHILADA medallion. The larger of the two is a Disston 28 inch saw blade, also with a 1896-1917 PHILADA medallion. The smaller saw is unmarked while the large saw has owner's initials stamped on the handle and the spine. Both saws came with the mitre boxes.Sgt42RHR
sawplate_rust.JPG
sawplate_rust.JPGsawplate rust85 viewsA lot of rust and paint spatter/overspray. fortunately there was very little pitting once I got this cleaned off. Unfortunately there was no etch in the plate. This is an Atkins double ground plate. Well worth saving. Brentpmed
jvise.jpg
jvise.jpgJeweler's Vise150 viewsHere it is, a cute little bug of a thing. The clamp holds it well on the bench, and the big nut was added (I think) to tighten it down more easily when swivelling it; the wingnut shows signs of being overtorqued.madwing

Stanley jack rabbet, cute little hammer, reprint catalogue, combination stone, shaker pegs, awl, and dowel pointer from the dealer tables. Boxed stone from silent auction and a wrench and coping saw from the live auction.
