Russell_Jennings_Auger_Bits.jpgRussell Jennings Auger Bits57 viewsA set of 6 RJ bits in odd sizes to fill in a set. no's 15, 11, 9, 7, 5, and 4. A welcome addition to my harlequin set. All have great lead screws and spurs. in the background a piece of green leather destined to become auger bit roll and a couple of cool old Bicentenial (1776-1976) decals.Brentpmed

IMG_0715.JPGMoxon vise 28 viewsThis is build to drop into the dog holes along the east edge of the bench. With a 20" opening between the screws and a 6" capacity, it can handle most all drawer boxes I would likely work on as well as any dovetail joints.Charlie Driggs

IMG_6685.JPGdetail of the older leg vise screw mount25 viewsThis may look a bit rough to some, but it is definitely a cleaner installation than the way it was mounted on my grandfather's 80, 90 or more years main bench. This one works quite wel. With two leg vises on the south end mounted 'in plane', it is quite easy to hold short sections (3-5 ft) of lumber for sawing to a line, although the height isn't ideal. Also very useful for holding items when needing to run round tenons with one of the hollow augers.Charlie Driggs

bottom_view.jpg
bottom_view.jpgBottom view22 viewsThis appears to be the bottom view as the corners are not rounded and there is no decorative beading. This view shows the tops of the two threaded thumbscrews that are threaded into the double bevel blade. The extent of the sheet metal and nail repair to the wood around the left thumb screw can be seen.Sgt42RHR
top_view.jpg
top_view.jpgTop View14 viewsThis is looking down on what seems to be the top or show surface of this tool. The corners are rounded, and a decorative groove is worked along each edge the length of the tool. In this view, the spring arm assembly can be seen with the spring screwed to the side and anchored on the right end by a pivot screw. An unthreaded thumb peg is seen on the other end of the assembly. A steeply sloping chamfer is cut forming what appears to be the exit as it falls away from the edge of the blade.Sgt42RHR
Side2_view.jpg
Side2_view.jpgSide 2 View11 viewsThis view shows more of the sheet metal and nail repair to the wood around the left threaded thumb screw. It also shows a spring arm assembly that appears to form the bottom of the mouth with a double bevel blade forming the top of the mouth. The blade faces the spring arm assembly. Sgt42RHR
