Do You Read Blogs? PDF Print E-mail

Someone posted a note on the Oldtools list a couple days ago about his blog and how he was looking for commentary about a project he was starting  (a crib ... one I'm familiar with but that's a story for another day... or maybe my blog???)  Blogs have become the defacto means on the web for people to spout off about anything and everything. Some are useful, some are absurd. For galoots, one I think all should take a peek at is the blog at Woodworking Magazine.  Good stuff.  See the link on the menu to the left. Once you are there, choose Weblog from their menu.  Read away.  The tech savvy among you can take it a step further and subscribe to the "feed". I use Sharpreader .. once running, it lets me know when new articles are posted.  My own blog (fitting somewhere in the middle of useful and absurd) is at www.wdynamic.com .. yes, that's the former home of GIC.. been mine for almost 10 years now.  Feel the need to spout off? Lots of options. You can post comments on blogs you read, or author your own. Google offers Blogger. I run my own on an open source product called Serendipity.

Registered users here may have noticed some extra menu items on the lower left of your screen. One of those is a blog  - yes, you can even blog here and choose whether anybody, or just other registered folks can see it.  Easy way to get started if you just want to sample without any big setup process..

Got Blog?
