There is no substitute for a good, hands-on education. A recent thread on OldTools brought to light the various ways to learn to use hand tools, and the articles in this index were one example of  book-learnin’, but it was generally agreed that the best way is at the literal feet of another Galoot or Neanderthal. Therefore, I present for your edification a listing of institutions of lower education, where shavings fly and even when everyone is using their tools at the same time, you can still hear the instructor.
