Johnston_wood_stamp.jpgMy maker's mark stamps54 viewsI mark all my finished work and some of my wooden tools with two stamps. First, I use a small stamp with my last name in all 1/16" capitals. Next, my name is surmounted with a First Model Brown Bess musket Storekeeper's mark.Sgt42RHR

pewter_medallions.jpgpewter medallions45 viewsI made a few batches of these, changing the mold a bit each time. Gets worse each time.
The pewter takes metal stamps quite well, so I guess it's time for some filing and decorating.

IMG_0412.JPGGalootaclaus 2006 gift183 viewsI received this beautiful pair of stamps as my Galootaclaus gift for 2006. They are hand made by an accomplished Jeweller Goldsmith who resides on the eastern seaboard of Australia. The smaller one is hardened and can be used to emboss soft metals like copper. The larger one can be used on softer materials such as wood. PeterH
