Head and footboard pin detail

|
The head and footboards are affixed to the side rails by means of oak pins, 5/8 inch at the bottom. The pins are each attached to the head and footboards by a single rosehead nail clenched. This allows the pin to move slightly as the side rails move. It also allows the pins to swivel out of the way for travel.
