Handle is 5 1/2" long and 1 1/8" between the flats. Ferrule is converted compression nut. Since this is a prototype, there's no adornment (e.g., burned-in groves). Wouldn't show up very well on the dark wood anyhow, and the walnut seems rather too soft for this use. Pretty schlocky work overall, but it served its purpose.
