What is not even close to apparent with this shot is the delicacy of this bowl. Wall thickness is nearly uniform, on the order of 1/16th inch / 2mm. The cracks readily seen, aren't readily recognized as filled with a dark material to enhance the contrast. This was turned from an ash blank, and in doing so, Galootaclaus Walt Cheever demonstrates a skill I don't have and definitely appreciate!! No way this is going in my shop - far too delicate!
