It was dead cheap to make, and it works fabulously. Dead stable. The 'side' pieces of plywood were left long so they 'hug' the bottom of the anvil and hold it in place. It hasn't rocked yet no matter how hard I pound on it. The anvil is a Peter Wright, and just over a hundredweight, so it's not going to move without a bit of persuasion, anyway.
