plant%20stand%20001.jpgRed maple plant stand with crotch cherry top30 viewsHere's a full view of the red maple and cherry plant stand I designed and built for my Mother. The photo is a bit washed out so you can't see the really nice figure in the maple or the swirls in the crotch cherry top.llesniak

plant%20stand%20008.jpgRed maple plant stand with crotch cherry top20 viewsHere's a plant stand I designed and built for my Mother using red maple and cherry from our property. The frame was designed so that the legs are diagonal to the corners of the top which is attached on the sides via curved blocks. This gives the top the appearance of floating over the legs.llesniak

picture%20152.jpgMission style end table with inlay band and drawer25 viewsHere's a photo of an end table I made from red oak and red maple milled from trees grown on our property. We staged all the logs then had a sawyer with a portable mill come in to do the milling. We also handled the cants and boards as they came off the mill. Hard work but very rewarding when the end result is building furniture from wood from home!llesniak

drawer.jpgEnd table drawer34 viewsHere's a photo of the drawer in the end table. The drawer sides and back are made from our batch of red maple. The oak was selected for grain and ray fleck although the logs were not quartersawn.llesniak
